Alaska Airlines Expands Anchorage Airport Lounge for a More Comfortable Experience

By | February 5, 2025

Passengers traveling through Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport can now enjoy a significantly upgraded Alaska Lounge, following an extensive expansion project. After nearly a year of renovations, the revamped lounge offers double the seating capacity, growing from 65 to 140 seats, and an additional 2,600 square feet of space designed to enhance relaxation and convenience.

Thoughtful Design and Premium Amenities

Located in Concourse C near Gate C-1, the redesigned lounge features an array of comfortable seating options, including the airline’s Signature Loungers positioned to provide scenic tarmac views. Most seating areas are equipped with accessible power outlets, allowing travelers to charge their devices while unwinding in a modern, tranquil setting.

To elevate the in-lounge experience, a selection of complimentary fresh, seasonal food options is available, along with a curated assortment of premium beverages. Guests can enjoy handcrafted espresso drinks made with locally roasted Kaladi Brothers coffee, as well as a selection of West Coast wines, craft beers, and custom cocktails.

A Tribute to Alaska’s Culture and Heritage

Each Alaska Lounge is designed to reflect the unique character of its city, and the Anchorage location is no exception. The updated space combines modern interiors with inspiration drawn from Alaska’s natural beauty. To celebrate the state’s cultural richness, the Alaska Native Heritage Center has curated a collection representing the five major cultural regions of Alaska, giving guests a deeper connection to the local heritage during their visit.

Expanded Lounge Membership and Access

  • The Alaska Lounge Membership Program offers two options for travelers:
  • Alaska Lounge Membership – Grants access to all Alaska Lounge locations.
  • Alaska Lounge+ Membership – Provides access to all Alaska Lounges plus nearly 90 partner lounges worldwide.

Alaska Airlines operates nine lounges across six airports, including Anchorage, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle. Travelers with an Alaska MVP Gold, Gold 75K, or Gold 100K status can access lounges when flying on a oneworld airline to an international destination outside the U.S., Canada, or Mexico.

Additionally, First Class passengers traveling on flights exceeding 2,000 miles receive complimentary same-day lounge access, offering a level of service that distinguishes Alaska Airlines from many competitors.
